String lights over the deck at dusk at The Boat House Bar & Grill

The table games

A little friendlycompetition.

Quick games for a table on the deck, a quiet moment at the bar, or the person holding the phone. Bragging rights only — that's the house rule.

CAPTAIN'S

6–5–4

Official Buttons Bay table game

For table bragging rights only. No offer or prize is attached to play.

Five dice · three rolls

Captain's 6–5–4

Lock a 6 for the Captain, a 5 for the First Mate, and a 4 for the Crew — in that order. The two dice left aboard become your cargo score. Highest cargo at the table wins the round.

  • Roll

You have three rolls to assemble the crew.

  • Lock

Take the 6, then the 5, then the 4. Hold the dice you want to keep aboard.

  • Pass it on

Hand the phone to the next seat and see who brings in the best cargo.

Play Captain's 6–5–4

House challenge

Cargo 10+ after the crew is aboard.

Complete the crew, then bring in cargo worth ten or more. The table keeps score; the lake keeps the sunset.

The game goes better with curds.
